Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11:30 am–10 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Brooklyn is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Brooklyn peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Amazing crust and a good tasting pepperoni. Cheese and sauce was mid, not as good as it used to be. You can see from the other reviews, someone’s doing a terrible job distributing the pepperoni. Kinda reminded me of the blueberry scene from Casino. Line can get long at times which some people voiced their displeasure about.

I’ve been to Paulie G’s Slice Shop four times now, and they are easily one of the best pizza spots I’ve had in a long time. As a vegan, it’s refreshing to find a place that doesn't just offer an 'afterthought' slice. They have a full range of vegan options, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed every single one. The crust is the star here, it has that perfect, traditional, old-school New York texture. One slice even features sesame seeds on the crust, which adds an incredible, unique depth of flavor that I haven't found anywhere else. It’s the perfect marriage of nostalgic, classic pizza quality with modern, thoughtful plant-based ingredients. Whether you’re vegan or not, this place is a must-visit.

I went to this slice shop excited to try the Hellboy slice squared. I was surprised to see a pizza shop with a C health rating but even more surprised to see this odd print out above it implying that the restaurant was in some sort of queue. The restaurant’s signage is confusing given the inspection timeline. NYC Health Department's ABCEats inspections took place less than a month after the initial November 18 violations in 2024. As of June 2026 inspections, according to the lookup tool, the restaurant still has a C health rating for β€œEvidence of mice or live mice in establishment's food or non-food areas” as well as other issues. I did appreciate that the restaurant had vegan options for the Hellboy, Vidalia, and Freddy slice options.

Classic pizza shop. I did enjoy seeing some of the relics from the past like the old cash register in the back. I had a pepperoni slice and a regular cheese slice. The cheese was decent. The pepperoni was a bit salty to me.

such a lovely little neighborhood classic. the sesame crust is standout and the pepperoni hot honey is out of this world. i’m not usually a thick crust girly but they do it so well that you have no choice but to love it. we had 5 people and couldn’t finish one pizza. super filling and delicious. generous on the pep too. mikes hot honey is the perfect touch. great for a game night or serving lots of guests.
